Bayswater Childcare Centre & Kindergarten
Starting child care is a big milestone, and a little preparation can help your child feel more comfortable and confident. Our centre includes six well-appointed rooms with separate nappy change and toileting areas, supporting hygiene, comfort and age-appropriate learning. The orientation process is flexible to meet a family’s individual needs, though we recommend two to three orientation sessions before the child’s first full day. At Skole, we make your child’s health and safety our top priority.
We are focused on delivering learning and development in a safe and supportive environment, so you can trust that your child is in good hands. Every day, we nurture strong connections between families, educators, children and the wider community. Through inclusive events, regular updates and hands-on experiences – from community gardens to daycare bayswater vic visits from special guests, every child feels confident, included and inspired to learn. We are fully equipped to accommodate children with special dietary needs.
Each indoor space has direct access to our outdoor environments, allowing children to move freely between indoor and outdoor play, based on their interests and needs. Our flexible routines are tailored to the diverse needs of each age group, supporting children to thrive at their own pace. Our Government-approved Kindergarten program prepares children for school through engaging, play-based learning experiences that develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
It is the best and easiest way to keep track of your child’s day. If you have an infant, we spend one-on-one time with them to establish a connection. We use songs, games, and conversations to strengthen relationships and build language skills.
We provide local Kinder places across greater Melbourne to develop school readiness. To be the trusted heart of our community, providing affordable high-quality childcare, enriching community and family support programs, and fulfilling careers in children’s services. Before your child’s first day, you may be invited to attend a Stay and Play session. This gives your child time to explore the centre, meet their educators, and start feeling comfortable in their new environment.
We also get involved in fundraising activities for causes that are important to the community. Our goal is to nurture happy, healthy children and inspire a lifelong love of learning. Every day, safety is at the heart of everything we do, with vigilant supervision, ongoing training and thoughtfully designed spaces.
From 2025, both 3- and 4-year-old children will receive 15 hours per week of funded kindergarten. To ensure that your child receives 15 hours per week, they must attend 3 days a week. We run a kindergarten program for 3- and 4-year-olds who attend long day care at our Centres. Our kindergarten program is delivered by qualified early childhood teachers for 5 hours a day during day care hours. Excursions support children to explore and get to know different spaces outside of their immediate world at the centre. We run a variety of excursions and incursions to enhance learning and development.
Many families face long waitlists, limited availability, or centres that don’t align with their schedule. The staff, from nursery to toddlers, are amazing and management is very helpful. The center is clean and fresh, and offers great learning tools for my two children. We have been attending this center for nearly two years and I aim to have my children transition to school from this center.
This is a great time for everyone to share stories from the day. Educators model healthy eating practices, social behaviours and support children’s growing independence with mealtime routines. In our nursery environment, educators focus on building strong, secure and respectful relationships so babies feel safe, settled and supported as they explore the world around them.
