FAMOUS PRODUCT SHOP in Taitung

FAMOUS PRODUCT SHOP in Taitung

It’s home to several large murals and a section dedicated to “blueprint-style” setups. We’ve been to five of these creative art parks in Taiwan and for us, Blueprint was the most Instagrammable. There are several interesting boutiques here as well so you can easily spend a good two hours here.
If you look closely, you’ll find almond nuts that are sliced thinly, adding more crispiness to the Crispy Bak Kwa. While frequent buses travel between Taitung Station and downtown, having to ride one of them every time you want to eat short rice noodles or explore a colorful temple would be a major pain. Some of my favorite Taitung attractions are located in the heart of the city. Moreover, Taitung 地瓜酥 occupies a small enough area that you can easily explore in the morning or evening, before and after you head out for daytime excursions. You’ll be surprised by the variety of things to do in Taitung, both within the city center and those accessible on a day trip. Besides the view, a small, steep, and very winding road leads uphill to an aboriginal village and a few cafés and small eateries.

The Russel's viper, one of the most dangerous snakes in Taiwan, is an exception...it generally prefers to take a stand against threats. In addition, it is also very unusual to see drunks on the street, day or night. Law enforcement in taiwan is provided by the national police agency of Taiwan. A lot of the illegal teaching work that the majority of English teachers partake in is simply through private student tuition with payment being cash-in-hand. You can find a lot of private students around universities that have a Taiwanese-teaching department - look for the areas where all the foreign students will be and check the noticeboards. Because the majority of adult private students want to practice English conversation, you won't need to have any Taiwanese ability.
From this blessed land spring froth rich ecological resources and products, such as rice, tea, Day Lilies, custard apples, sailfish and other specialties. The indigenous tribes of Taitung, the Amis, Puyuma, Rukai, Bunun, Paiwan, Yami and Kavalan, the versatile tribal colors paint the earthy Taitung into a brilliantly eye-catching artwork. This rocky, tree-lined canyon has a river at the bottom, while its forests shelter different species of animals. The place is also famous for its marbles while its picturesque scenery makes it an excellent hiking site. Man-made structures were also built along this national park. Should you want to explore its attractions you can check out Shakadang Trail, Yanzikou Trail, and Lushui Trail.
Mushroom-shaped Lulian Island (金樽陸連島) is visible out at sea. Continuing north from Jialulan, Fushan Fishing Harbor (富山漁港) is another slice of coast with lots of rocky pools to explore. It is just before the long Shanyuan Beach (杉原灣沙灘), which is beautiful but difficult to access unless you are staying at one of the guesthouses along the it, such as this one. Similar to Taitung Seaside Park in Taitung city, Jialulan (加路蘭海岸) is a seaside park that is venue for art installations with a distinctly Taitung flavor, such as the current Garland of Coastal Pebbles (加蘭海岸握卵石).

Orchid Island is home to Taiwan’s most remote aboriginal tribe. A trip there involves more planning, so you’ll definitely  want to consult my detailed guide to Orchid Island. It’s also possible to rent a scooter from a small shop outside each train station .
Today, it’s mostly a park with remnants of the original fort and a museum showcasing important historical events from the Dutch occupation. Unless you’re in a rush, then you don’t really have to take the HSR train. We were perfectly fine taking TRA trains throughout our trip.

Also, the ability for visitors to learn how to milk a cow, like the Chok Chai Farm in Thailand. There aren’t much activities except paying for hay to feed the bunnies & piglets, resting near the fountain reading books or newspapers. It worths a visit since many little shops and cultural shops clustered there. At night, the lanterns designed by students were lit up, which made a romantic scenery. There are often different musical events or street art performances here. I had no idea Taiwan looked like this outside of the cities!
A conducive rest stop and lookout spot, Jialulan Recreation Area 加路蘭遊憩區 is a seaside art park with interesting driftwood art installations. With a bohemian reputation along the coast, Dulan village 都蘭 is a mecca for surfers for its beaches and waves, and hosts the annual Taiwan of Open of Surfing competition. Further inland, Dulan Sugar Factory 都蘭糖廠 (新東糖廠文化園區) is a heritage building developed into a creative hub that organises occasional live music performances. Chenggong Fishing Harbour 成功漁港 situated at the northern tip of Taitung County is the launching pad for whale-watching tours in summery months May to October. The best way to explore the scenic area is to drive or hop on the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle bus (台湾好行).
A truly unique city with an abundance of culture, food, and beauty. • The best day of the year to experience Taitung, one of the most beautiful places in Taiwan. • Taitung is a city in eastern Taiwan, home to two UNESCO World Heritage-listed Formosan villages, with an ancient history dating back more than 2000 years.

In addition, he included Taiwanese tapioca pearls in the drink and it became the bubble tea that we know. This teahouse has become a popular tourist attraction in Taichung, which at times requires you to wait at least 30 minutes to get your drink. To have a taste of famous thing in Taiwan that started it all,  try their original pearl milk tea.
Here are some seafood based treats found at port markets, night markets, and on the streets around the country. For a long time, exploring Taichung was not s0 convenient because it didn’t have an MRT like Taipei and Kaohsiung. What’s more, the HSR station is located far outside of the city center. In 2021, one line of the Taichung MRT has finally opened, but it doesn’t go to the city center or Taichung station.

If you can’t, spend the night in Chiayi and go to Alishan then next day. I recommend staying in one of the villages in Taitung for experiencing this beautiful, this rural part of Taiwan. Chishang is my top choice and is famous for cycling in the rice paddies. Read about them all in my guide to the East Coast of Taiwan. Two weeks is a good amount of time if you want to do a full circle around Taiwan.
